Pituitary tumor and endoscopic surgery: what patients should know

A practical guide to pituitary tumors, endoscopic endonasal surgery, and pre-operative planning.

Pituitary tumors can cause headache, vision changes, hormonal disturbances, or may be found incidentally during imaging. Not every pituitary lesion requires surgery.

When intervention is considered, endoscopic endonasal surgery may provide a minimally invasive corridor in selected cases after coordinated ENT, neurosurgical, and endocrine planning.

The key question is not simply whether a tumor exists, but whether its size, behavior, symptoms, and anatomy justify treatment.
